GM upgrade Alternator 1981 22R
Hi. Looking for tips and feedback on upgrading using LCE Alternator Bracket Kit (GM 1 Wire) setup.
LCE indicates their parts work with any of these GM alternators . Is there a standout choice I should buy , or consider them all comparable?
Thanks in advance

i put a 140amp gm 1-wire alternator on my 22re, using the trailgear bracket, it order to help power a winch that i didn't buy nor install until years later.
it was a bit of a hassle, not sure if wiring it for a 22r is much different... it takes it's own home run wire to the battery, i fused mine at the battery terminal with one of these fuse blocks:
i haven't tested the setup under load yet, it's a powermaster alternator and the home run wire supplied with it is i think too small... powermaster no longer includes that wire, you have to add it yourself.
