Gave my '80 a facelift

While putting in the "cooler" for my power steering conversion i managed to crack the black grille on my '80...Well after looking for one locally without any success i decided to just pull the front off of my '83 parts truck and convert the '80 0ver to the '83 headlights/grille. I went ahead and started cutting some off te ginormous bumper too. I still have to cut the "wings" off of both sides though..

The mounting holes on the buckets for the square headlights (4 bolt holes) were different than the round headlights (3 bolt holes) so i had to line them up and screw them on the front clip. I was not able to use any existing bolt holes from the round headlights. Other than that the only things i had to change were the electrical connectors on the turns signal/parking lights. (put the ones from the '80 unto the '83 headlight bezels)

I agree! I'm much more a fan of the round headlights, but getting rid of that bumper was definitely an improvement.

Thanks guys... today I cut the "wings" off of either end and just left the mounting bracket.....which is welded to the frame. It looks better now for sure. I also have a Warn winch bumper that i could always throw on there
