front axle seals

front axle seals

My front axle seals on both ends and needs sometype of overhual.
How hard is it to corect this problem? can i just replace seals or rebuild the axle ? Is the a kit? any info will help
its a 1979 toyota 4x4 pu

Are you talking about the seals or the CV boots?

I think you wandered into the wrong section... no CV axles on a 79 truck

If I were you I would go ahead and rebuild the front knuckles. Marlin Crawler has a front end service kit w/ or w/o the wheel bearings

If you are going to replace the axle seals, you might as well do a full knuckle service kit as you are going to tear the axle down that far anyway.

Inspect the wheel bearings while you have everything down and if need be replace them as well.
