exhaust gasket seal problem

exhaust gasket seal problem

I cant seam to get it to seal , keep blowing out right next to the bottom right bolt, any tips I did the whole start from the center and work my way out like the book says. and I toruqed the bolts to 25 ftpds. Im gonna check the sides of it but I cleaned it off with a wire brush to make sure it was clean .

Remove it and make sure it is not warped with a straight edge.

Looks Pretty Straight, Used a big ruler. there is some ridges around the ports, should they be completely smooth?

anytime i have ever had an exhaust leak, it is due to a warped manifold/header. Get over to the machine shop and get it milled, otherwise, you are asking for trouble (any machinist will tell you, all of them warp due to the heat). Also, what type of gasket are you using?

Im useing the gasket that with the little metal shield on it, not what I had on there before but only thing they use now I guess. About how much does that machineing cost?

K quick question my truck has a 20R in it and ive been useing 22R gaskets I went and picked up some 20R ones there just the gasket but theres a shiny one and a another one im I sposed to double them up?.. update tryed it just the single silver still leaking as before. Im gonna get some better studs 2 are shorter and not grabing, and im gonna go pick up my other header
