im on a pretty tight budget and i was wondering what would be a good junkyard transfer case to double with my stock 1981 toyota case. i want the lowest gears i could get. i thought maybe a dana 300 but what else is good

 

stock gear driven tcase + TG dual adapter and the 4.7 gears......

 

X2 on what tofer said. Stay away from a chain drive case.

Check craigslist, periodically people are selling dual case set ups cheap.
I also found a case on there for $75

 

so what case should i look for then if i just went to a junkyard

 

Most any top shift, gear driven case should work.
