De-coding vintage '81 paint code, trim, etc

I just picked up an '81 which is prime for a vintage restoration. Does anyone know how I can find out information about how many trucks were imported with certain trim packages and paint schemes? Basically I want to learn more about the rarity of my particular truck. ~Thank you

unfortunately , Toyota didn't keep track like the domestics did ..

Corey is correct, but to add to that, there were a lot of dealer installed options and special dealer packages as well. There is an ID plate mounted on the center of the firewall right behind the heater hoses that has a bunch of information related to the truck's specs on it. Post a picture of it or the codes on it and we could help you get some information about the factory specs and trim. You can it in the picture of my truck here:
