Couple of videos of driving Dixie today.
Me teaching my son how to drive a stick. He did pretty good. Only popped the clutch 3 or 4 times.
But...he still ain't driving it without me around. lol.

This is a blooper that I cut out, but the windshield wipers cracked me up.

My son is learning on a stick too, since that's all we have. Gotta hand it to him, as frustrating as learning the 3 pedal dance can be he hasn't become frustrated and keeps at it until he gets it. He did the wiper thing too. That made us both crack up.

Still can't figure how the windshield wiper factors into them learning to shift. lol. But it is way funny.

That is a good looking truck for sure. I taught my son to drive stick on my 1980, next up is my daughter real soon. It is amazing how many people do not know how to drive a standard.

Very nice, Mark! I've done some driving lessons at Jackson State myself
Hope all is well!
I've been hauling my 2 year old around in the frankenyota with the doors off, and he loves it!
Not sure I'll ever let him drive it, though. The v8 and high clearance make it kind of sketchy for a youngun with a heavy foot and a sense of adventure, lol.
Love your commentary, too! "Yup, that's a sexy little truck right there" haha.
I have no argument there.

You better be careful with that little one in there and no doors. That's the dad in me coming out.
Frankenyota! I love it!

oh yeah. We just crawl around the neighborhood real slow with him buckled into his car seat. No long distance or high speed trips, but it his fun to goose the throttle up to about 15mph and see his grin, lol. I'd never put him any danger, I figure this is safer than a pony ride, and way more macho. Haha
