Changed out the Clutch Master Cylinder

The old (original?) clutch master cylinder on our '83 was leaking on the new carpet, so it had to go. Found an Aisin replacement on eBay for about $16.00 US. It was an exact copy of the one in the truck. Swapped in the new one this morning. The entire job took less than an hour, including bleeding the line to get rid of the old fluid and the air that got in. Actually a very simple DIY job that would likely have cost well over $100 if I had a shop do it. Very happy with how the clutch works now too. Happy camper!

Nice!

OEM (Aisin) parts should make your clutch happy for years to come!

Just curious what kind of shape were your hard lines and the flex line were?
I replaced a clutch cylinder on my old 81 just to have the flex line fail a week or so later

This truck is a rust-free "survivor" and the lines looked like new. Of course that's no guarantee, anything could happen on a 35-year old truck.
