Carburetor rebuild questions

I looking to bebuild my stock carb in my 82 pickup 22r 5 speed. Who all has rebilt them? I am wondering about the difficulty, i looked up the rebuild kit and looks kinda intimitating. Is there any special tools or advise that i could use that yall have found?

from what ive been told, on the cali equipped vehicles, they are a PITA, vacuum line nightmare. the other ones, still a lot of vacuum lines, just not as bad.

No, it's not too bad. Just take your time and keep things organized.

Squeaky clean EVERYTHING, especially all vacuum passages!

Blow compressed air through all of the fuel passages. My secondary wasn't working because one of the fuel passages was clogged. Check the power piston - mine was completely frozen up.
