Carb Questions

I got a Holley carb for my 82 when I bought a shat ton of parts for cheap. It's bolted to an Edlebrock intake manifold. Now I figure the manifold should flow a bit better then stock but my real concern is the carb.

I've read through various carb tuning threads on here and it seems like the Factory Aisin with all the smog crap removed and some slight mods is the most favored and best route to go carb wise.
I did a search on the Holley carbs and it seems there's complains with them running poorly at angle and what not.

My real question is, should I bother with this Holley carb or just rebuild and modifiy the stock Aisin carb?
Is the Edlebrock intake manifold worth a damn either?

I don`t know about the holly carb, but you might try the edelbrock intake, it will probably flow better than the stock intake.
