still have a few issues that I hope some of y'all maybe can help out with. I changed the fuel filter and cleaned the tank, added new gas and changed the plug and plug wires
blew all the fuel lines out and little blue would only start if I poured gas in the carb. it had little trouble staying running at first but after it warmed up it was fine. I killed after runing it for about10 min and it restarted about 6 times but then on the 7 I had to put gas back in the carb.I checked the glass and it stays half full. It does have some trouble when I turn the motor off it wants to stay running for a min. any clues

i would say weak fuel pump or carb rebuild is in order.
my 82 wont always start,have to pour gas most of the time.
but once started(most of the time) she will idle high and smooth.
sometimes she runs rough and dies in idle....my pump is new,i know my carb needs a rebuild though.
i get run on after over 1.5 hours of running.

 

probley going to have to rebuild it, the trucks only been sitting up for 3 years
