Carb Linkage

Carb Linkage
Just a quick question.
What is the fastest way to repair a faulty linkage at the carb. I have cleaned it intensively and the spring just seem to be worn out. I can's get a good idle or pedal response.
Should I jump to replacing the throttle cable? or replace the springs and levers at the carb? Is there any place to buy new linkage for the carb?
or get a weber like I want to already?

Well, I would say the Weber is a good route, but only if there's other issues with your carb or you're going to start doing some performance stuff. If your stock carb is running ok other than this idle issue, and it really is because the throttle plates don't return properly, then just replace the spring or fashion an auxiliary spring to make it return properly.
A Weber can be an improvement and also simplify all the vacuum lines alot, but it can also be opening a pretty big can of worms if the rest of your engine isn't in proper shape and whatnot.
