broken dist housing

broken dist housing
Today I pulled the dist on my 82 to change the o-ring .what I found was the housing was broken just below the clamp, where it meets the housing shaft that goes thru the head. I was wondering if anyone has had a dist break in this area ? There was not any other signs of damage or abuse to the dist.
