brake problem

brake problem

new to the site.

bought a 82 yota from a friend a couple months ago.
had no problems until my front brakes locked up...any recommendations on what to check or replace for that matter.

locked up.. as in still?

Disk front?

Could be piston stuck, bad in caliper. Valve somewhere in the booster/master cylinder shot?

Might want to just replace it all. Its not that expensive. Id pull and check your pistons.

sorry didnt mention witch were the problem.
yes they are the fronts that are locking up and not the rears.

brakes

the front tires lock up when you depress the brake? or they lock up on there own?

the brakes lock when depressing the brake.
and do not release until immediately...
