Bolt in alternator with more amps?

I know I can put a GM 1 wire on my 22R, using a bracket I build or buy..

But, does anyone know of a high output I can install on the stock stuff? Preferably one I can get at my local auto parts store?

Cheers!

About the only thing you might be able to do is if you have a local Starter and Alternator shop.

Is to have them turn yours up if they will .

Not real sure about the real use lifetime.

Pretty much is to just buy the bracket and do the GM one.

That way if it goes bad more then likely get one almost anyplace.

Custom built your waiting till it is fixed or spending big bucks to buy another one.

They do have some you can get I know chefyota got his from a local guy that I think rebuilds them with a higher output.

Search around a bit I know you have some options, or if you have a local shop that rebuilds them you can always call and ask if they can rebuild for higher outputs, I don't think they have an option that will bolt right in that you can get from the local parts store though.

Search Ebay for 4Runner high output alternator.
Several there that say will fit 22r.
Not cheap though.
