Better stereo

So I am looking at a better sounding stereo for my 83...without having to take a chain saw to the dash to make it fit!!! Tried the old one out of my 97 but no go. Want a neat tidy "stock factory" look. Don't want one of those annoying 12000 watt Honda Civic things that sound like a convulsing Humpback whale, just nice clean sound. Don't mind having to trim the plastic dash face.

Check in KawaZx636 build thread, I think he installed a unit that fit without mods to the dash

I know my '84 DLX is next Gen, but here is what I run:

Sony MEX-XB100BT - 100W headunit - CD/Bluetooth/USB/SiriusXM Ready - Subwoofer out jacks
Older Polk Audio DX6 6.5" co-axials (beautiful mids and highs set at 120Hz crossover) - 4" Polk EX340 in the factory locations
JACK Universal 6.5" speaker pods mounted on lower/forward door panel

Plan on adding a lil 8" Alpine self-powered sub soon.
