I'd make it a sleeper, make it seem stock until you go to race

 

I was also thinking about getting either fiberglass or specially molded carbon fiber body panels. Is there a specialized place that handles these types of applications??

 

Cool truck, but you need to get your priorities straight. Don't worry about the windshield or carbon fiber. Get that truck running! Try to find an older truck around your year and use it as a donor vehicle for everything.

You might even wanna consider something like a Supra swap (I'm not too fresh on 1st gen's, but I think that's the popular one..). Witha modded Supra, you could get up and go pretty quick...
