adjustable drag link...is it neccesary?

I'm thinking of going with 3 1/2 in lift springs and maybe a one inch shackle lift for my 82', but was wondering if an adjustable drag link is in order? Is anyone running one?

i'd highly recommend it if you don't plan on going to crossover steering soon. putting 3" of lift on the stock drag link is putting it at a crummy angle and will make it handle funny on the road.

Yes, and you'll also need a longer/adjustable torque rod. Don't try going without it unless you like veering to the right when you hit the brakes.

Cross-over steering will solve both problems, but you may have some interference problems with only 3" of lift.

mine works fine with stock length 3" springs, but i bought sky's 3/4" less-than-stock drop pitman arm. i could've located the box higher and more angled but i didn't want to cut the front body mount.
