Kinda selfish but... keep the 4runner and give me your truck!!

I love what you've done with the '83. I been following your build-up for awhile and I'm impressed.

Are you keeping the front open? I really like that blue too, it pops.

ARB Air Locker

I?ve got a bit of rear-end howl that begins around 60 mph and increases around 70-75 mph on my 80 short-bed. The rear diff is all original (200+ miles) and no doubt worn. Would an ARB Air Locker be a quick upgrade without a lot of complication? I?m assuming I could also go to a larger tire diameter with gear choice? Does the Locker affect highway use in any negative way?

Nice blue on the truck.

The ARB is completely safe to use in all driving(on road) because it is selectible. It is either on or off and when it is off it acts like an open diff. An ARB is not without difficulties when installing, you have to plumb the air hose. The locker will not solve your howl unless you get a new gearset too, couldn't tell if you knew that or not.

pretty much, I tried some clear coat but it reacted with the paint and it started bubbling. So i am going to give it one more coat of paint and call it good.
