Howdy,

My buddy has a carb that's in good condition from an '86 22r and I'm wondering if it will work on my '82.

My carb is currently in need of some major work so I'm thinking this might be an easier solution than rebuilding the old one if it will transfer.

Any help would be appreciated!

That 86 should have fuel injection. Sounds like someone has already been swapping stuff around, check it out and see what exactly it is, I'm 99% positive it will fit your vehichle tho.

 

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, but I don't know if maybe it was an option to have carb or EFI? I can't seem to find any differences between the carb he has and the one that is in my pickup so I'm thinking it SHOULD work.

82 p/u : I have an after market carb but no diagram of vaccum lines. the old carb lines were cut in place. no way to tell which way they go. Does any body have a diagram??? I bought this carb for my 87 p/u and it is identical to the old one on the 82 so they are interchangable

 

I had an '87 with a carb. Apparently on 2wd models you could even get carbs into the early 90's.

 

Yeah carbs went well past 86, the 86 carb should swap right over on to your 82

 

I just swapped in a 87 toyota 4WD Pickup into my first gen, And it had a factory carb on it. They limited carb models after 87. I bought this pickup (87) and thought it was EFI till i came to collect it.
