83 Yoda 3"leaf spring lift

My 83 Yoda needs a little front spring help! Yeah it's pretty bad the stock leaf springs have got a reverse bow in them. Leaving my axle about half an inch from the rubber bottom out bumpers! So I went and bought pro comp 3" lift springs. Now what I'm trying to figure out is the drivers side is about a half inch taller than the right side. This is them laying on the garage floor no weight on them. Now is this normal or should I be taking them back? Or Is there more weight on the left and they do that to compensate?

The difference in the springs is to compensate for the different spring perch heights in the front axle. The drivers side spring perch is 3/8" lower (closer to the axle centerline) than the passenger side. Some companies use different height springs to compensate for that difference. Others suggest welding on a 3/8" plate to the drivers side spring perch to even them out allowing the same spring for use on either side.

Factory Toyota springs were designated Left & Right. If you install 3" springs in front then you should install 2" springs in the rear, this will level the truck. If you do not want to purchase rear spings then purchase rear shackles to level the truck. If you raise the rear you must make an extension bracket for the rear brake proportioning load valve bracket to compensate for the lift relative to the rear brake load proportioning valve settings.
