wheels might look good black, but since they are solid i don't know. Some black rockcrawler wheels would look good and aren't that expensive. I prefer the rustic look of the wheels now.

and i've never understood the nitrogen thing...my tires are perfefctly round and don't leak air with regular air. what are the "benefits" of nitrogen?

truck looks great, that was my original color. prob. my favorite first gen color.

Only benefit of nitrogen is that it doesn't expand nearly as much as air does when it gets hot. Pointless for a truck. Only thing its useful for is a race car that's seeing 100+ mph for long periods of time. So yea, its a big waste in a truck. Especially since its gone the first time you air down...

All the ones I have seen have like 4+ inches of backspacing. to much for the 1st gens aint it?

I may redo the wheels in white, was thinking black but maybe just redoing in white would look better? what do you guys think? white or black?

Leave that truck as is! Paint the rims however you want but leave that stock paint. Its still nice!

I have a few sets of rims sitting around that I'd like to get rid of:

though one of those is bent, not too bad, but slightly. I have the rear center caps and all the lug nuts. genuine AR rims.

I have all 4 of these SR5 alloys, with all 4 center caps and all the lug nuts. They are in good condition with minimum scuffing.

I also have all 4 of these solid rims, in chrome, if you wanted to stay with a one piecer. Again, all the lug nuts, but I no longer have the center caps.

Also, if you are not interested, my apologies haha. I would go with black, fyi. Flat black would be best.

can that paint be bought anywhere still? if I wanted to re paint it ever?

the bottom needs rust proofing.

I have been throwing the idea of rims around but for now I will just remove the rust on the stockers and decide on paint color. thank you though!

white or black, hmmmmm,

truck looks good in photo! lol fix all that hidden rust and it'll be a beauty!

I'd take it apart, restore the frame and everything put it back together! I've done it so i know! =p

I wish I had a big garage, heated, to work in and I would asap.

but my plan is to por-15 the frame and all the underneath. then spray the por15 with a anti rust type enamal paint.

how would that hold up?

when I knock on the body with my knuckles its solid. no holes in the frame but lots of brown on everything!

I bought a 3m rust wheel for my drill for the wheels, and some rust remover gel stuff. I want to re do the wheels first off.

what do you think of that plan?

how would you go about prepping the rust for por 15?

how far would a gallon of por 15 go???
