81 toyota- Really Fast signals

I put aftermarket signals on my truck but someone told me they are low voltage and they told me to get a restrictor. I heard restrictors come in different "ohms"?? Just wondering what i should get to slow them down to a somewhat normal speed?

Im a little new to all this stuff but it sure is fun learning new things. I should have some more pictures up tomorrow.

Thanks for the help guys!

so if you put in LED turn signals, you need a resistor, never heard of them called a 'restrictor' can't tell you exactly what size you need. You are still pushing twelve volts through the circuit but the led's aren't drawing enough current or some crap...sorry but am a little out of it, Just took some Tylenol Cold PM...
PM 4crawler aka Roger Brown...he is the guru of this stuff..

also google 'Ohm's Law' talks about the relation of resistance, current and volts...
