Yes mine did sound llike yours in the video. This is one sneaky gremlin you got in there. First no spark, then spark, now it won't hold? And have you narrowed down, either coil, ignitor, or pick-up in the distributor?

Haven't ruled out the dizzy, but the coil is fine. I have no way of ruling the ignitor out until i get the new one on there tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.

How can i test the magnetic pickup?

And the reason I know the coil is fine is because I already replaced it twice to be sure lol.

So I've been busy, dealing with medical issues all last week, and ended up having my appendix removed on christmas eve. So sorry for leaving this hanging in the air without closure. I know how you all like to see * SOLVED * up on the title lol. And plus, i just want to get this damn thing to drive again!

So an update on the truck, is that I replaced the ignition module with a better brand (was duralast) and it solved my warm up idle issue! YES!

But now, for some odd reason when I give it gas it still just chokes and dies? It'll accept me pressing on the gas pedal, and it will rev, but the moment I let go it dies and smoke comes out the exhaust mani...

I'll inspect the fuel cut solenoid when I can bend over easily again. I'll probably be able by tomorrow, so I'll keep you guys posted

So I tested the fuel cut solenoid, and it is working. I even tried running it without the fuel cut solenoid plugged in, and no matter what it just DIES after I give it any gas. I dont know where to go from here...

Any ideas?
