No 02 sensor till 81'. The only toyota that had an o2 sensor prior to 81' was the supra. If there is no o2 sensor there is no CEL (MIL). Just put a plug in it so the tech doesn't think twice about it but technicaly you could just leave the o2 sensor in there not hooked up. I would tell them right away so they don't come up with their own conclusions.

 

Ok, thanks. It is an 81 w/CA emissions so I am going to conceal the cut end of the wire, make sure the CEL is off and that part should be ok for the smog check.
