3rd gen rear leaf spings

any body ever run 51" 3rd gen rear leaf springs (89-95) in the rear of there 1st gen the are 3" longer and the center pin is 21.5" compared to 20.5 so the rear axle would sit 1" back but thats not a problem and then just need to run a longer shackle and new bushing and the bolt right in but do they give any lift and do will marlin bushings work?

I want my axle moved back so thats not the prob I just want to know if it adds lift or not and it the 3" longer spring adds enough flex to be worth buying the springs

Im asking for a friend with an 82 that wants to install them with marlin bushings and a 2.5" longer shackle and then use my stock rear springs up front
