i have a 4wd 81 shortbed and it used to be beautiful...until i rolled it 3 times. i bought a 2wd 82 longbed so i could replace my cab with the one that came on it, but here in the final stages im 2nd guessing myself. does anyone know how well it will match up?

 

Are you keeping the interior in the 2WD cab or will you swap the interior from the 4X4?

 

it will not bolt right in place. the front cab mounts are different, dont line up at all. you will need to cut a hole in your floor for your 4wd shifter. the plugs under the hood are different. 81 uses square plugs, 82 uses round.. the fenders are the same except the 4wd ones have a factory fender flair.. hope i did not miss anything, but that should be it
