22R Water Pump Question

My computer that had my FSM on it crashed so I can't access it. When installing a new water pump on a 22r is there any FIPG required or is it just the gasket?
Thanks
BTW it's a 83

gasket is all that is in The FSM .. but I always use a "skiff" of FIPG , if for nothing else then just to hold the gasket in place .

Anybody know the torque amour for the water pump bolts? There's not any listed in the FSM.

Per the 1985 FSM that I have (under the Standard Bolt Tightening Torque section), FLANGE hex bolt torque specs are as follows:

6x1.00 - 52 in-lbs
8x1.25 - 10 ft-lbs
10x1.25 - 21 ft-lbs
12x1.25 - 39 ft-lbs
14x1.50 - 61 ft-lbs

You can use this as a guide since the engines are practically the same; however in the Service Specifications Section of my 1983 FSM (or anywhere else for that matter) there is no torque specified for the water pump. In that same section it lists the torque specs for the oil pump at 14-18 ft-lbs. In my 1985 FSM on page EM-44, it lists the specs for all timing cover bolts (cover, water pump and oil pump) as 9ft-lbs for 8mm bolts and 29ft-lbs for 10 mm bolts. When I rebuilt my 22R I used the torque specs from the 1985 FSM. I would stick to something around 10 ft-lbs

if your timing chain cover has studs threaded in to the water pump threads, then you can torque the nuts to 14 ft lbs
