I have a 96 4 runner with 260,000 miles on it. I also have a 81' pickup. How "easy" would it be to drop the 96 motor ( and tranny?) into the 81? 81 has a 22r.

 

you need to run the 3.4 transmission or a 3.0 *3vz* transmission. Most likely custom drivelines possibly the 3.0 v6 drivelines. It will be a lot of custom work.

yep /87 is about the same ..

we do a turn key swap in our shop for 5K .. turn key !
of course there are some upsell parts we recommend such as water pump and timing belt replace , rad etc ..
