20R Carb Help

I'm currently in need of a carb that will work on my 1978 20R, because my current one isn't performing very well. I overhauled the whole thing, but there is just no way to undo about 29 years worth of wear and tear. Does anyone know which carbs (aftermarket and stock) will bolt up to the 20R intake manifold with use of an adapter or not? I've been having a hell of a time getting something that works on the 20R. Most carbs are 22R ones and I'm getting a little tired of not finding any info out. I'm planning on rebuilding a 22/20R engine so I'll be keeping the carb for that build up as well, hence my wanting to find this info out badly. Thanks for any insight!

Try L.C Engineering and look at Weber carbs. I have one on our hybrid 20/22r and it works great.

Been there and checked them out, only problem is that they dont actually tell you the model # of the carbs. I'm not really wanting to pay the LC engineering price for those carbs either! I'm just wanting a simple 2 Barrel carb but I want to know if the adapter plates will fit others as well.
