Hey all

New owner of an 83. The frame is in rough shape and I have 3 options - a full repair from a fabrication shop, a brand new aftermarket frame, or a frame swap.

I've priced out the repair and the aftermarket, but obviously the swap will be the cheapest.

What model years shouId look to swap with for an 83?

 

Look at your VIN, digits four five and six are your chassis number. An example is JT3RN6, you will find other RN6# frames should match..

You can actually find the frame numbers and dimensions in a FSM.
