1983 22r bogging and surging
On my way to work today my truck decided it was going to stumble at low rpms and increase as I accelerate. It bucks and stumbles too. It started about 6 miles of driving. I still have everything stock too. I checked my spark wires, bit they haven't been off in about two weeks. I'm going to check my timing tonight too, but I'm also hoping for a few other suggestions too. Thanks guys.

Actually kawa, that's exactly what's going on. I replaced it last night, as well as a few vacuum lines. I also changed my fuel lines out, but I'm still getting a surge in my rpms, but the bogging stopped.

It's back to bogging down and the surges are causing about a 500 rpm jump. Also small backfires are increasing as well as a backfire as I turn it off. I checked my timing last night and it was fine.

I was having the exact same issue it was my EGR valve and the pipe coming out of it they were all clogged up I suggest you inspect that when you do desmog it just to check and make sure that was the issue then clean it out and sell it all to somebody trying to put there's back to smog legal that way you can let your old pay for the new.
