1981 Toyota Hilux Leaf Springs

Hi, so im doing a full restoration to my 1981 Toyota Hilux (single cab) and i was wondering what are the factory settings for the leaf springs. Basically i need to take them to a shop so he can re arch them again ( not sure what the proper word is) but i do not know what the factory settings were. When i asked the guy from the shop he told me how much inches i want. But i do not know for sure all i know is i want them to be the same as stock. my front leafs are basically straight ( no arch at all) and the rear are decent i guess but i want to the dimensions so that i can have them re-set.

As far as I've always seen, the stock front springs were always flat like that.
Or inverted, like mine.

I've heard that too.
It's probably in your best interest to just replace them altogether.

The OP is in Malta, I'm not sure Allpro ships there. It would be worth every penny, though. Good suggestion.

Yes indeed that website has some nice goodies , if only shipping didnt cost me 800+ dollars for a set of leafs. if it was more a reasonable price i would buy some nice stuff for my truck

Youch!
I would go custom.
If you have a local shop that makes springs, just take your truck by, tell them what you have, what you want to do with the truck and the kind of weight you typically carry and have them make you some from scratch.
It's a lot better than a re-arch and it'll be much cheaper than overseas freight cost for some USDM off the shelf springs.

I will probably do that , as for the pictures i already posted some in the 1st generation post but i cannot take a lot at the moment since the truck is in bits and peaces due the full rebuild.

I think that you would be wasting your time and money by re-arching your springs. It won't take long to get back to the same old sag, if not worse - I've seen it attempted several times before and each one failed. If you are dead set on stock springs and stock ride height, Low Range Off Road has the front springs (at a good price too) but you'll have to do some searching for the rear springs. If you're ok with a little bit of lift on an aftermarket spring, I would highly recommend Old Man Emu. They have a 2" lift and are hands down the best riding stock length aftermarket spring available.

i already have a 5" lift kit from Marlin Crawler , so lift doesn't bother me at all , i don't want it to be a monster truck so i'm not looking for a huge lift , i want to keep leafs as stock as possible so that with the lift kit and 33" tires the truck will have a good stance. Only problem is from Low Range Off road the shipping is just too expensive. i will try to see if i can find something more local . maybe find a dealer in the Europe.
