I recently bought an 81 SR5 pickup. But, I think a few things have been changed over the years (the headlights for one). Can someone clarify what features and options were available in 1981 SR5? DId they come with these large chrome mirrors? It has screw holes for the smaller black mirror on drivers side only.

 

There are some differences for the SR5 package, such as, wood grain dash panels, center gauge pod, tachometer, SR5 logo on tail gate, to name few options. The big mirrors were another dealer installed option instead of the single mirror.

 

the headlamps may not have been changed , check your production date .. a lot of people misinterpret the production date .. a production date of 8108 is actually an 82 .
anything produced after end of July is the classed as the next year .
the truck also has the 82/83 grill and bumper
