I have been searching relentlessly for an AC compressor that will drop right in to my 81 toyota pickup that came with factory AC. The compressor that I pulled out of it is a Nippondenso 047300-1051 which is no longer available to my knowledge. Am I able to use compressors from any different years or models? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might take some measurement of your old compressor and try to match some newer ones. Maybe find a newer from a junk yard. You also might check with Yota Jims in Denver. I built a new mounting bracket for the compressor in my '81 that I got from Old Air Products out of Ft Worth Texas. I put their whole system in my truck that didn't come with air. RestoMod Air, Classic Air, Vintage Air are some of the aftermarket suppliers that may hook you up with an appropriate compressor.
