1980 pickup 4x4 bumper

Where can I find a bumper for a 1980 4wd? I can only find the 2wd bumpers and they are a different width

Did you end up finding one? I’ve been looking for one too.

How are they different widths? The front of a 2wd truck is no thinner than the front of a 4wd truck. The entire front end; hood, fenders, lower valance, headlights and radiator core support are all direct bolt ups. The 2wd fenders don't flare out like 4wd fenders but that's about the only difference I've seen.

I bought and bolted up one of the black bumpers listed on ebay for a 79-81 pickup 2wd. Besides it being a cheap aftermarket, stamped-out piece; it fit my 4wd truck like any other. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Front-Bumpe...4AAOSw3TFczXFo
I also had to buy the two brackets to hold it on either side.

Toyota did change the bumpers from the all steel, full width bumper, to the steel bumper with rubber/plastic end camps in 82 until the end of the 2nd gen trucks/4runners.
Those different styles of bumpers are definitely different widths but otherwise I've never seen a bumper for a 79-81 truck listed specifically as 4wd or being a different width.

That doesn't mean you're wrong but it might explain why you can't specifically find the old style, all-metal bumper listed for a 4wd.

From top to bottom is different widths. I’ve bought the 2wd bumpers you can find on eBay and it’s different from what’s on my truck

now that we are on the subject, does anyone have pix of what the front looks like with just the brackets/no bumper?
my truck never had a bumper. im curious where the brackets bolt up.

Im in the process of building a bumper. very simple, just a thicker version of the original based off the brackets i have which seem aftermarket but idk...
