it's differnt because there was no factory 4wd in that body style. it would be worth the money because of its rarity, also it looks fairly solid.

i could see how it would be worth it for someone who is a collector of sorts. It rare similar to the trecker as far as it being something you hardly ever see.

given the rust, it looks a little pricey. the wolverines were factory conversions that cut the front suspension off of a 2wd pickup, and added in a divorced dana 20 transfer case and dana 30 front axle. not exactly the greatest componentry(the d20 has a higher lo-range than the toyota cases, and the d30 front end is a boat anchor compared to a d44 or toy axle), but decent in stock form.

Here's one that's sitting out at my in-laws farm. It was hard trying to find any info on it. I even put a thread on YT, some said it wasn't a Wolverine, well this thread helps prove that it is.

cool, i've seen a few converted datsuns and ford couriers in boneyards but never a toyota. i think a company called Lo Conversions did a lot of them (datsuns and couriers anyway) and they even sold their own special front axle housing for a little while.
