1978 4x4 pickup
I have just been given a 1978 toyota pickup that is 4x4. I have been told that people were putting jeep front ends under the truck to convert to 4x4. The motor and tranny are in pretty good shape. I would like to restore the truck but am having trouble finding parts. Can anyone help????????
Thanks, Stkman.

Congratulations.
For the 1978 model year, yes. In what month and year was your truck built (look inside the driver's doorjamb)?

To the OP: Look to see if you have a plate or sticker that says 'Wolverine' on it somewhere. Is the front end a passenger side or driver side Drop differential and does it have a dana style (bolts on front of the pumpkin) or Toyota style (bolts on back of pumkin) 6 or 5 bolt?

I've got a Wolverine too. You should have a dana 30 front axle and dana 20 transfer case. Both the steering bar and the front suspension is custom crap. You wont find that stuff unless you find another wolverine. The stuff I got as far as brakes are concerned is i believe 75 cj5 stuff. You've got a sweet truck but as far as drivetrain and suspension is concerned, it wont be easy.
