If I wanted to get an OME 2" front spring kit, could I remove a leaf and get the ride really soft and the lift reduced? It's not the lift I'm interested in but the softer ride. Does anyone have experience pulling leaves from these things?

 

Good question.
youd basically be flattening the springs but theyd still be the same length. I doubt you could get back to zero but it might not be the full 2 in. It might be a soft ride and youd probly be wearing springs faster. But its worth a try considering the other options.
i have a set i can measure this wknd if that would help at all.

 

Sorry I don't know anything about leaf springs. but from the little I understand I think your plan would work ok. I don't see why not?
