WTB: 84-89 Toyota pickup 4x4 tail gate access panel
Hi looking for best condition possible 1984-1989 inner tail gate access panel for cali bed. Color does not matter. Willing to pay for a nice one. I understand shipping will cost some. Pics a must. Thanks
Can you explain which box you have, I don't know them by name. I have a red tail gate access panel from a long box 87 that's in pretty nice shape even though the rest of the box is rusted to nothing. It's the style that's nearly the full width of the tail gate. The other style I saw was much narrower. Not sure if there's any other styles. I've only heard the box with the rail along the top to hook things into called a Jap box, and this is the other 2 piece side panel design so maybe it's the Cal box. As you noted, shipping to Hawaii and being a fairly large package might cost a bit. I'll have to dig around to see if I can find or make a box.
I was planning to sell this with the box I have since it's access panel has pretty heavy surface rust, but I'm not sure how much it's worth. I'll try to get some photos.
Yes still looking. It's the bed that does "Not" have the hooks and upper lip going around the upper outside of the bed. If your still not sure my signature has a pic of the silver 86 or the black 85 with the bed I have. I have salt water tanks and some plastic grids came in the mail with just foam on both sides wrapped with tape. I would think the right size card board cut out covering both sides of the panel would work. Thanks!
The bed it came from is the same style as what you have, not sure if long box vs short box has the same tail gate or not though, logically they would be the same though.
The size of the cover is 47in long by 6 1/4in The back side of it has undercoating on it, the whole bed was covered with it on the bottom half and inside panels. I don't see any rust on it at all, which is amazing coming from Michigan which is a state that uses a lot of salt on the roads during the winter. Here's a couple photos of it. Is it the same as what you need?
Yes if it's from an 84-88 box like in the sig. Seems like your set up to ship parts so that helps. Lmk what the grand total shipped to 96766 I'm sure we can make it happen. Brad
