3rd Gen 4Runner Cargo Box and Sleeping Platform in Denver Colorado ~$500
~SOLD Just sold my 4Runner and bought a Tundra. So I'm selling my custom built modular cargo storage box with sleeping platform extension. The money will go towards building a similar setup for my Tundra. This box was built custom for my 1997 4Runner and is one the best designed platform of it's type in my personal opinion. It is completely modular and breaks down so that you can still use the back seat with the rear cargo box and has tons of storage (including a slide out drawer system). When in sleeping mode it provides a perfectly level sleeping surface the size of a full size bed. The entire platform is easily removable and the transition between sleep mode and storage mode relatively painless. It attaches to the factory tie down points via turnbuckles to keep everything situated while offroad and in the event of a roll over. I loved the platform for climbing road trips as it allowed me to camp in luxury and stow all my gear out of sight. I'd like to get $500 for the platform, that's a steal considering material cost and the countless hours that went into designing and fabricating it.
Regarding vehicle fitment, the platform was built for a 3rd Gen 4Runner, and will drop right in to those years. I know that it will also fit in a 4th generation Runner, however, both the wings will catch on the back seat and not fold up properly when the rear seats are up. This could easily be fixed with some subtle trimming. It would also likely fit older Runners with a few tweaks. ~SOLD
