Hurley's '82 Toyota Trailblazer (NC)
Reduced to $3000 OBO
Hi all,
Well I'm at a crossroads in the life game and the sad day has come for me to sell my Trailblazer. It's an 82, got a brand new 22R in it with an RV cam and valve springs, warrantied by Sunwest Automotive (out of Medical Lake, WA) for 3yrs/30,000 miles. I've put less than two thousand miles on it in a month and a half. Rebuilt factory carb, new clutch, resurfaced flywheel, new 33's, hot tanked all "tin" on the motor- including the radiator, valve cover, oil pan, oil pickup, etc...
Great frame, no rust, only slight rust is in the drivers side floor pan, and some surface rust on the roof of the cab. Other than that this truck is in fantastic shape. I believe until me (I just moved to Charlotte), it has been in Georgia it's whole life. It was bought in Chamblee, according to the original paperwork.
I'm commuting almost 60 miles a day, and rarely get to wheel it, save for the gravel parking lot at work. Sad I know. So, I'm hoping to get it into the hands of someone who can pick up where I left off and really take this thing where it deserves to be. There are so few of these left, which makes it so hard to part with but I would like it to get into the hands of a good Toyota fan. I got into this truck with the intentions of taking it back to OEM+ but in the 6 short months I've owned it, I've relocated cities, gotten a job that has a hefty commute, and I don't get the opportunity to wheel it like it's supposed to be.
I'm asking $5,000 OBO considering the work into it.
The build thread is here:

I'm open to trades plus cash, but must be either a motorcycle (sportbikes- I'd love to get back on an RR, but cafes are always enticing as well as interesting old school bobbers) or wallet friendly, gas sipping commuters (think corolla, civic, etc), and last but not least a first gen 4Runner with some cash but I know that's a long shot . Let me know what you've got.

Still up for grabs, tons of interest locally but no takers yet. I think it's mostly curiosity from a lots a folk. Never seen one before, or "Used to had one o them back in the day" kinda dudes. Either way come buy this thing and help me not rack up a million miles on it commuting it!

Daww thanks guyses! It's still up for grabs, I'm open to pretty much all reasonable offers! Really trying to find a bike or an older civic or corolla or something. Something reasonable on the highway ha. I'm going to be doing a lot of traveling/driving over the next few months!

Still for sale. Racking up the miles. If I can't sell it, I'll just keep it. I really do love the truck, I'll just leave this up for as long as I can see myself parting with it- and if I save up enough from work, I'll just grab a bike and/or an older (early 90's) corolla and rock out the road trips with the bike or car and have this as the play thing! But, if you do want to buy it-it'd make my immediate life a little easier.
Also awaiting the arrival of a rear main seal-(got one online but it was the wrong one, must've been 6 inches in diameter. No idea what it was really for, but it certainly wasn't for a little 22R!) and I'll be getting that done one of these weekends.

Still up for grabs... don't be shy to make an offer- I'd really like to see this go to Yota guy/gal rather than the 17 year olds that have been checking it out up here, or at least to someone who's going to put it in the dirt where it belongs!
Come and get it...

Metal on the truck is good. IMHO for the year, I think it's great. Theres a rust spot on the roof of the cab, nothing deep-just surface rust. And a couple of spots in the drivers side floor pan. Little nicks and dings from being around for 30 years, but nothing too serious. The frame is pretty jam up too-no real rust on it anywhere save for a couple little spots of surface rust again-nothing deep, flaking or pitted.
I didn't even think about posting this up on toyotatrekker.com! Almost forgot about you guys! Remembered when I saw your avatar... unmistakable ha!

Nah, I appreciate the offer though. I used to have an '04 CBR 600RR, and I'd be looking to get back on something along those lines if I was going to get back on a bike. Thanks though!

If you are interested I have a 90 2wd p/u base. 22r 4spd. Has 85k +topper. AAL + all new shocks. Very very nice truck. Probably not what you are looking for but I'm debating trading it out any way so thought I'd throw it in the mix. Does fine on the hwy but you'll never get a ticket for speeding. If so PM. Otherwise Nice truck!! Looks like a really fun Toy. GLWS.
