WANTED---1981-1983 Mini Truck

As my name suggests, I somehow have a need for more Toyota's. I am new here, but have been on the IH8MUD site for a few years (2000+ posts as SHES MAD) Yes-there is a story behind that. I finished restoring a 70 FJ40, which is my summer driver, and an 85 BJ74 Diesel, which I fully frame off restored and converted to Left Hand Drive. The fuel economy and power KING for a stock truck. I may sell the 74 though. My original plans were to give it to my grandson at some time, but it's not his cup of tea---his loss!

But now I find myself in need of a first gen pickup. Here is what I am looking for:

Rust free--surface rust OK
I would like good paint.
Fairly original
22R
5 speed would be nice
A/C
Some mechanical needs OK

I have a lead on a couple, but nothing definite.

PM me if you have a lead, or have one you want to sell. I am fully aware that rust free and the midwest are usually mutually exclusive, so travel is not an issue.

Thanks. Looking forward to being a part of this board

I have budgeted up to $8,000 give or take. All depends on what I find
