stock diesel full engine, wiring, bell housing, full swap Mansfield, OH

***Update*** Diesel engine and swap are on sale for $200. This includes everything for the swap. I need to move this engine fast so someone can get some use out of it.

I want to sell my Toyota diesel engine. I'll give you some history first. I bought my 1985 Toyota pickup xtra cab with this engine in it. According to the engine bay plaque (and the hole cut into the floor at the shifters), the truck started life as a 22R carb 2wd. Someone in Ohio decided to convert it over to diesel and 4wd (hence the not-so-factory-looking hole in my floor at the shifters). The guy I bought it off of lived in Indiana, who bought it from the guy who converted it. The engine ran smooth, but of course I have no idea (nor did the PO) how many miles are on the engine. However, these diesels run pretty strong and I never had any issues with it. I only drove it a couple hundred miles before I decided to swap engines. I wanted to convert the truck over to EFI, so in went a 22RE, and every corresponding piece to make it run, from the same year as my truck (1985). Now, it's time to sell the engine and everything that was taken out during the conversion. This is basically a complete diesel swap including full engine, diesel starter and alternator, diesel bell housing and back plate (to mate it to a G52 or W56 tranny), the flywheel, clutch, all wiring under the hood and cab harness, and I believe the power steering lines. Also, has many brackets, hoses, and all bolts/nuts/hardware taken off during the swap. Oh, and the fan, pulleys, and belts. I'm probably forgetting something, but I have pictures of everything. I am not sure what year the engine is, but I have seen diesels in 1982 and 1985 Toyota pickups that look identical (they were 2.2 and 2.4 respectively).

****UPDATE: The engine is from a 1984 Toyota pickup. It has roughly 200,000 miles on it, but it drove very nicely when it was in my truck. The guy who built this truck lived in Ohio, and I actually ran into him earlier this week (actually I should say that he ran into me). He followed me because he said he hadn't seen the truck for a few years. I am certain he is the builder because he started naming things that were done to the truck that someone wouldn't be able to tell unless he had built it. I hadn't said a word and he named off that it had been a diesel (pre-swap), with the 4Runner frame, and even the diffs that were in it when I bought it. What are the odds of me running into the original builder?! I'm glad though as he gave me some great info on this engine.

I would like to get $500 due to the amount of pieces in this sale. I'm willing to entertain offers. You don't need to go out and search for anything to make this work. No junkyard runs, ebay searches, or craigslist. Everything is right here. Just throw it all in and you should be good to go. Also, if by some chance there is a piece missing once the buyer has picked everything up, and has gone through with putting the diesel in their vehicle, I will search my garage (that's where all the parts were put after being removed) and try to find the piece.

Lastly, you will notice that the opening in the bell housing for the clutch fork is on the opposite side when compared to either a G52 or a W56. Don't worry, the clutch fork on your gas transmission can just be spun around so that it goes out either side depending on the tranny you have when using this stock bell housing. There's no need to search for a diesel clutch fork, you can just use the one you have already. The shop did this with my old clutch fork.
Engine and everything else is located in Mansfield, Ohio.

Clutch, flywheel, alternator, starter, fan, nuts/bolts/hardware, brake booster? (I can't remember what that thing in the front is called. Could be the brake master cylinder):

Exhaust pipe (I believe from the exhaust manifold to rear exhaust), all wiring under the hood and in the cab, I believe the power steering lines, and also I think there is a A/C piece for the diesel set up:
***note that the exhaust manifold for these diesels is on the opposite side as the 22RE of the same years (1985ish). The downpipe in the picture goes around and connects where the stock 22R/22RE rear exhaust sits.Name: DSC00113_zps0dc839a3.jpg

diesel bell housing (to mate to a G52 or W56), bell housing back plate, belts (that's all that were on it when it ran), a few covers, and electronics for glow plugs and other things:
***note the clutch fork opening on the bell housing is on the opposite side (you can still use your old clutch fork), refer to the description for details on using your old clutch fork.

Hoses (radiator and others), pulleys, a few brackets, and I think the square piece is for the battery:

Thanks GIJunk. This really is the full conversion. I swapped everything out from the diesel to run a 22RE. There shouldn't be anything needed to get it running that isn't here. The cab used a carb (non-tach gauge cluster) and was pretty bone stock inside. The only thing that might need to be purchased would be a fuel pump for the diesel. I ran (and currently still am running) an external pump. I'm in the process of changing that over to an intank pump with EFI fuel tank. Now I want all of this to go to someone who will use it well.

That is usually how it works isn't it. You can't find them anywhere. Then once you buy something you see them everywhere.

No westjohns. It's not a turbo version. I've got all the info on it at the top, including some good updates. This is basically a full swap. You shouldn't need to do anything other than buy oil, a fuel pump, and an air filter, etc. to get it going. Everything I have up bolts right up to factory parts (G52/W56 tranny, engine mounts, etc.). Someone shoot me an offer. I realize that gas prices have gone up and picking it up will cost a bit in fuel so I am willing to work with the price to get this sold.

Price reduced $750. Isn't there anyone interested in a diesel swap? I read all the time on here about people wanting to do them.

I just might be interested in this full swap. Do you know if I will have any issues getting it to pass smog here in CA? It would be going in an 81 shortbed that currently has 22r. I don't know much about smogging a diesel here in CA. Thanks

Janky: I'm not sure if it will pass smog tests. It isn't as clean as some of these newer diesels, but you never know.

Ant: I'm still on the fence about shipping as I don't know if I have the resources to get it ready to ship. I believe I have to wrap it and possibly crate it up with wood slats around it somehow. I would need to ask the local Yellow Freight people. Their prices aren't that bad, and they would be able to tell me what I need to do in order to ship it. I do have someone local very interested in the diesel coming to look at it this weekend. If it does not get sold I will let you all know.
