New Tool Set

New Tool Set
I got sick and tired of having a broke socket wrench and not having the right sockets to pull things apart on my truck and vehicles at pick n pull. I went to Harbor Freight on a mission and this is what I came up with
301 piece Socket set. Everything I could possibly ask for.

HF hand tools are gauranteed for life. You just got to keep the reciept. A scan of it is good enough. Scan it in and start a tools file. I dont use china hand tools much. I like my knuckles to much, but I keep a small set in my truck for emergencies. Good luck.

this set has a lifetime warranty as well. same process, just gotta keep the receipt. this is more of a "at home set" I have a much smaller 32 piece set in my truck
this sucker weighs too much for me to just casually carry around... lmao

I've never really had a problem with HF products? I like how everyone is complaining about american/foregin products yet, what do we drive? hahah
The box the tools are in say Taiwan on it, assuming thats where its from. hey what can I say, they work and thats allllll that matters to me.
the box is heavy as hell too... ridiculous. carrying this damn thing around is more of a chore.

HF great for random stuff you use every now and then or maybe maybe even things you use regularly..because they are so cheap that even if they break..its no biggie to replace... as long as your really not depending on it to work.. or as long as whatever the tool is breaking doesnt cause any damage or injury.. Snap on is awsome no doubt.. but i think its overkill..even for the daily mechanic..I stick with craftsman...way shorter down time when you need something replaced..

Does Craftsman still have the lifetime warranty? I remember when I was a kid when we were working on out house and my Dad dropped his tape measure, we just went over to Sears they took it and gave us a new one, no questions asked.
This would come in handy too with an 18" ratchet I was given, the gears sometimes doesn't fully engage.

I have a set of standard sockets from HF, they are actually pretty decent quality. But all my metric stuff is Craftsman.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were both made in the same factory though. Craftsmen isn't the quality it used to be.
With HF's warranty, I had their ball joint press tool for over a year before I used it. I had to do ball joints on a F250 I had, and ended up bending the press. I went to HF and bought another one, it was on sale. Finished the job, then went back and returned the one I bent. They gave me my money back, which was a shock to me. So I still have one, thats not bent. And if it bends, I'll just do the same thing again
I am horrible with saving receipts.
