Jacks and stands

I did some searching but didn't find my specific question already answered...

with my 2000 Taco with 6" of lift, the jack stands I have in my garage are not tall enough to reach...anything. changing out my wheels with nothing but a hi-lift holding it up poses a very risky situation that I don't wish to be in. will the standard 2 Ton 24" jack stands go high enough to reach my truck? i am also not too familiar with what points are good for putting the jack stands up to and what is not...

ive got a set of these

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=38847

and what height stand you need depends on were your putting it.

probibly cant reach the frame with 24" but would be ok for the axle tube or front crossmember on the IFS.
