got my replacement ratchets back from MAC Tools.

while taking a break on playing with wrenches to heal my carpal tunnel'd right wrist, i sent few of my tools to Mac Tools got get them replaced. nobody knows when the dealer truck would make a stop at my home because i work computer graphics for living not a mechanic in trade, so i have to deal the factory directly. the whole process is pain free, plain simple, no questions asked. i shipped the tools to the address listed on their website, i did call, they didn't call me. both of the racthets were replaced with brand new ones, and the impact gun was repaired promptly. i got all back in my hands within 2 weeks.

i do have a little rant to make about the ratchets. it says "clean and lube regularly" on the gear cover plate, but after i opened them up, i found out the internals are BONE DRY, both of them. aren't they lube them at the factory?

well, i coated the gears and the housing with a layer of sythetic grease to protect them from rusting. i learned that from fishing saltwater, all my reels were treated with this method, grease works as water and moisture repellent, keeping my reels in tip top shape inside and out.
