Air compressor regulator, filter, oiler
I came across a HF filter, regulator, oiler and 50 feet of 1/2" good year air hose. Good deal, like free.
I needed a filter, but have never run a oiler before. I always just put a few drops in the tools every week.
Is anyone running this set up? Seem to me like the amount of oil that you would have to run though 50' of line to get any to the tool would be really high. If someone is running this how much oil drip do you have in the little window.
Also can a line that has had oil run through it be used with a spray gun. If not it is not a big deal. I have my origional hose that has never had any oil run through it.
Thanks

I worked as a boilermaker for a while and we always ran oilers on our large 1" and 1-1/2" drive impact guns. It seemed to help them last longer. Also we had a whip hose on the guns and ran the oiler between that hose and the main hose. this way our main hoses did not get full of oil. As for at home I have never used one, like you said just oil in the tools when I use them . I wouldn't spray paint or even use a blow gun on something you didn't want contaminated if you are going to run the oiler.
