16x8" with 4" backspacing to fit on my 4x4 1996 4Runner Limited with Hankook Dynamic Radials (unsure of exact tire size and particulars at the moment without a look at the truck- will post it later when I remember to look)

Polished finish, bought from 4 Wheel Performance Parts Ltd in Edmonton, Alberta. (good business to deal with)

I also got some 12x1.5mm acorn style chrome lug nuts at WalMart for about $7 per package of 4.

Took wheels to the tire shop and I was told that the center caps could not clear the hubs.

Several phone calls later I found out the following and will post it as a guide for others: 1069-6883 model number is the correct (non-hub centric) type of wheel to get for the Toyota 6x5.5 bolt pattern, and it was what I ordered and recieved. A Pro Comp rep I spoke with on the phone told me the fitment on Toyota Tacomas and 4Runners is VERY tight and requires a clean hub with no rust, greasy thick residue or dirt. He said (sheepishly) that even with a clean surface, the fit was poor and required a gentle hammering to persuade things along. I tried hammering on the center cap with a 2x4 and hammer (plastic cap removed) to get it on and it worked OK.

So I took it back to the tire shop and got them put on.

They look great with a timeless 4x4 design that I will not tire of. Not the flashiest wheel out there, but nice looking, simple, light and easy to clean. I like the classic look of them, but for the fitment issues, I wonder if I would have been happier with the somewhat more expensive Dick Cepek DC-1 wheels.

Overall, I am quite satisfied with the results. The fender flares look filled up now. Before with the stock wheels and these tires, the tires were tucked into the flares a noticeable amount more than now. I like the present look much better with the filled fenders, and wider track. I wonder if it makes much difference in tipping over the truck offroad or in handling.

Have not cranked wheels full lock yet to see if anything rubs, but I think all is well as I'm sure something would have rubbed already if it was going to.

Really was NOT impressed with the center cap fitment issue over the hub. I expect much better aftermarket parts. I would rather pay a little more for something that fits well in most cases, but I forgive ProComp in this case because the customer support was there (although hard to find a phone number to call) and all turned out OK in the end.

 

Man all this and no PIC'S anti climatic for sure so sad

 

Truck and tires dirty and I just got it back yesterday afternoon with the wheels installed. Just in time to go to work (I'm on nights at the moment). Sheesh! I will try to get some up today when I wake up.

I guess by now I shoulda known not to post stuff about new farkles installed without pics......

Tires are Hankook Dynamic Radial 275/70R16 and there is slight rubbing when outer edge of tire contacts bottom corner of wheel opening at the bottom of the Limited flare. Hits the bolt head and makes noise when articulating. Normal flat surfaces produce no rubbing. Got to figure out a fix for the rubbing. Funny, I had read posts that said no rubbing issues with this tire size and wheel offset.

Perhaps the poster was an SR5 owner that didn't have chunky flares to contend with.
