Willow Creek Road, Lake Arrowhead, CA; 2/9/07-2/11/07

A few friends and I decided to take a weekend trip up to Lake Arrowhead, CA. Since my Runner is 2wd, we decided to do an "easy" trail, Willow Creek Road. Sorry about the lack of pics, it was rainy/cold/foggy and we were a bit hung over from the previous night's festivities....

Yup, gray, foggy and cold

looks easy enough

Following the trail leader

A little mud pit...

Downhill section

Water Crossing

More technical downhill (where I wish I had 4WD!!!)

All in all, it was nice to FINALLY get my Runner onto a trail, albeit, an easy one. I would have to say that the BFG AT KO's were the one saving grace, they had plenty of traction, even though they got a little caked on certain sections. I had a lot of fun though, and I came to realize that:

I NEED A FREAKING 4WD!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me know if any of the videos don't work....

i think i did that trail back in december with my mom and uncle. wanted something easy and not scary. only one point got scary, where i had to make a 15 point turn to turn around.

Did he go through some deep water or water in general? If you hit a decent size puddle or stream at a decent speed, the water will splash with enough force to bend the plate up.

Yeah, I was quite surprised how well my 4runner did! Looking forward to more fire roads/easy trails.
